Education Board risk assessment

The Meerkat Group complete risk assessments using a proven methodology. Our experience is that Boards and ExCo’s are pleased to discuss risk in different formats, to have a wider discussion on risk appetites and mitigations.

In a recent example where governance was considered below standard, a risk report was produced for key management and the Board including a) The Summary table with appropriate colour identifiers before mitigation factors are applied; b) The same Risk Summary Table but after mitigation factors have been applied and c) The Risk Matrix Data

As one executive commented, “risks that make the Risk Summary almost never occur … because they are being managed”.
